Adoption Application

We are so happy you’re interested in saving a life and adopting your next furry family member!  The decision to adopt is important, and one, we at The Moggy Nip Factory & Rescue take very seriously.  Our primary concern is finding a home that is the best fit for our cats and kittens. Please review our disclaimer and adoption requirements and policies below BEFORE completing an application, to ensure our rescue is a good match for you, your household, and your lifestyle.

Pair of Kittens 6+ months - 12 months $200
Single Kitten* 12 weeks - 6 months $175
Single Kitten* 6+ months - 12 months $125
Adult > 12 months $75

*Every rescue has their own adoption policies and requirements. We believe kittens do best when adopted in pairs or have another cat-friendly resident pet (Example: Cat-Friendly Dog) in the home to socialize with and play. Applications for a pair of kittens or those with a cat-friendly, active resident pet will be given first consideration.  Adoption of a single kitten with no resident pets will be considered on a case by case basis. The Moggy Nip Factory & Rescue reserves the right to deny any adoption application for any reason.

    • You must be at least 19 years old to adopt and provide proof of age.

    • Please apply only if you are serious about adopting a cat or kitten(s).  

    • Landlord checks will be conducted to verify if cats and kittens are allowed in the applicant’s home

    • Veterinarian checks will be conducted to make sure current resident pets are up to date on vetting requirements.

    • You must agree to a virtual meeting/home visit with a member of the rescue.

    • *Kittens will NOT be adopted until they are at least 12 weeks of age to ensure they have received all age appropriate vaccines and tests. Regardless of age, kittens and adult cats will not be available for adoption until they are deemed physically, behaviorally, and emotionally healthy by The Moggy Nip Factory & Rescue.

    • Applications are reviewed to find the BEST fitting home for the cat/kitten(s).

    • Submitting and acceptance of an application does not place a hold on any particular cat or kitten(s) or guarantee your adoption of a specific cat or kitten(s). Approval for adoption does not occur until all facets of the adoption process are completed and a confirmed approval is provided by phone or email by The Moggy Nip Factory & Rescue.

    • You must pay the adoption fee and agree to all terms of the adoption contract

    • A cat or kitten(s) adopted from The Moggy Nip Factory & Rescue MUST be returned to The Moggy Nip Factory & Rescue if you are unable to keep the cat or kitten(s) at any time after adoption. 

    • Adoption fees are NON-REFUNDABLE if a cat or kitten(s) is returned to The Moggy Nip Factory & Rescue any time after adoption. 

    1. Complete an adoption application on the cat or kitten(s) you are interested in adopting.  

    2. Adoption applications will be reviewed to make sure they are complete with all required information.  

      NOTE:  Our goal is to review each application within 72 hours of receipt.  However, because we are a small, home based rescue, we respectfully ask for your patience if our response exceeds 72 hours.

    3. After your adoption application is reviewed and landlord and vet checks are completed (as applicable), you will be contacted by phone or email notifying you if your application has been accepted and the next steps in the adoption process.  

      NOTE: Acceptance of an application does not place a hold on any particular cat or kitten(s) or guarantee approval to adopt a particular cat or kitten(s).  Approval for adoption does not occur until all facets of the adoption process are completed and a confirmed approval is provided by phone or email by The Moggy Nip Factory & Rescue.

    4. If your adoption application is accepted, you will be contacted by phone or email to conduct a ‘face-to face’ meeting (via Zoom; Google Meet, etc) to discuss your application and address any questions/concerns.

    5. Following the ‘face- to- face- meeting, you will receive notification, by phone or email, whether your adoption application has been approved, and a ‘meet and greet’ will be scheduled with the cat or kitten(s) of interest.  

      NOTE: It is not until after the ‘face-to-face’ meeting is conducted, will a decision be made on the approval of an adoption application for a particular cat or kitten(s).

    6. At the time of the meet and greet, if you and the cat or kitten(s) are a great match, you will complete an adoption contract and pay the adoption fee.

    7. A day and time will be arranged between you and The Moggy Nip Factory & Rescue to take your new family member(s) home!

  • The Moggy Nip Factory & Rescue ensures that your newly adopted cat/kitten(s) will be age appropriately vetted, with standard treatments, prior to coming into your new home,  to include:

    • Dewormer

    • Flea/tick treatment

    • FVRCP vaccine 

    • Rabies vaccine

    • FIV/FeLV test

    • Microchip

    NOTE: these standards may vary if the treatment is deemed not appropriate/safe by a veterinarian at the time you adopt the cat or kittens.
